During the month of August, in our new ‘Antique of the Week’ series, we will focus on Victorian silver for use at breakfast.
Personal silver of the Victorian period was a great show of wealth in the sheer quantity of pieces deemed necessary for daily life. The most opulent display was in the presentation of visible silver-particularly in the dining room! So, enjoy some of the breakfast pieces that intrigue me the most.
This wonderful silver honey keeper intrigues me to no end! I am a fan of honey for my morning toast, so now I can be one the hunt for a similar honey keeper. My research on this item is coming up empty, but I will continue to search. Do you happen to have a lovely silver honey keeper similar to this one?
Have a lovely day!

That is just so sweet! I LUV it….another hunt! franki
Kathy,
I just saw this interesting honey keeper and forwarded it my good friends Jim and Ellen Mapp that have a summer home here on Camp Branch Rd. They would love to meet you sometime. They are quite the antique collectors…and they have many collectible items including teapots and many sets of English China, flow blue, mason, gaudy welch, etc etc. I know you would have so much in common. Jim and I are childhood friends. Hope you will be in town in the next few wks so I could introduce you sometime. Betsy
Hi Betsy,
Your friends sound great and very interesting! I will be here next week, but then out of town the last week of August. Give me a call and maybe we can get together!
Kathy
