Cincinnati, Ohio is the city I last visited on my book tour around the country. The Cincinnati Art & Antiques Festival is the venue at which I introduced and sold my book, ‘The Collected Tabletop’. Along with my book, I was asked to share my knowledge and love for tablescape design. I designed three tables using a collection of both new items and antiques. With the help of my new friends at Goldsmith Cardel, and several of the shows antique dealers, I was able to accomplish this challenge effortlessly using their wonderful items.
Below you can see my festive ‘Holiday’ tablescape, designed using various pieces from Goldsmith Cardel. This lovely antique trestle table was generously loaned to me for my presentation from Jayne Thompson Antiques from Harrodsburg Kentucky!
Below you can see the pieces I used for my sassy ‘Wine Tasting’ tablescape.
And another shot of this table…
“The Proceeds from the 2012 Festival support Cincinnati Children’s College Hill Campus, which gives our community vital residential treatment services for children and teens suffering with mental health issues. Our support will help fund a dedicated chaplain for patients and staff, providing emotional and spiritual care that is an essential component throughout the healing process.”
I loved every minute I spent in Cincinnati! I am so humbled to be a part of such a life changing organization. I was welcomed so sincerely by the Festival and made some new best friends along the way! Please consider being a part of this wonderful event next year.
