I am so excited and grateful to announce that my book, The Collected Tabletop is now officially in it’s third printing. I am so grateful to everyone who has purchased my book, invited me for book signings and events, sells my book, and to my wonderful publisher, Greenleaf Book Group from Austin, Texas. And so many thanks and hugs to Brooke Wallace for her great job as publicist for the past year and a half!! And to all my wonderful blog readers and guest bloggers, who make me really want to continue presenting interesting blog content at The Collected Room.
And most of you know how I am so interested in using and specifying items proudly made in America!!
The printer for my first two printings was in Canada and did a fabulous job, but I still wanted someone to print The Collected Tabletop in America. My publisher offered up a company in China at a much less expensive price, but I said no, no, and no! It would have just broken my heart to have this book, that is so close to my heart , printed in China. Even at a lower printing cost!
But I have always known that perseverance pays off, so I started going through all of my “coffee table” books to see if I could find any that I thought were wonderful and printed in the USA. For days I searched and found…Printed in China, over and over again! But then finally, in one of my favorite books, Evergreen-Decorating with Colours of the Season, there it was…printed in the USA! Very excited, I rang up my contact at Greenleaf and Chris McRay went to work finding the printer of this book. And low and behold…there was the printer, along with Greenleaf, in the state of Texas! Very “American Made” in my mind! And I am happy to say that the third printing of The Collected Tabletop will be printed by Taylor Specialty Books in Dallas, Texas , which was founded in 1939.
So today (and most all days) my heart is full of gratitude and joy that my book is totally…MADE IN AMERICA !!

Congratulations! Love, love, love your book! I posted this on my facebook page!
