What Color is on Your Tree?!

For the Christmas decorations at Chestnut Cottage, I seem to be a very traditional color girl! My trees are a bit themed…Irish, Garden, Buildings, Wine, etc. and for the most part are all in traditional Christmas colors of red, green, and gold. One of my trees has accents of blue (imagine that!). My good friends, Tobi Fairley, is more of a non-traditional color girl (image that also!) What color is on your tree or trees?!

Tobi uses lovely pinks and aqua on two of her trees!

This past weekend we visited our friends Bo Henderson and Ed Springs and they also tend more toward traditional colors on their fabulous trees, but with a bit of a “twist’!

Leah’s tree and decoration theme is “all about the pictures”! She displays her family & friends on her tree and all throughout the house. What a special way to keep your loved ones close during this Christmas season.

Leah’s  mantle will be filled to the brim with many more Christmas cards from sweet family & friends over the next few days!

Leah’s got a fantastic idea with her picture frames on the tree. Mine is mostly white with touches of pearl, crystal, silver, and gold.

Your tree sounds very elegant Luke!

Kathryn the trees are beautiful and I also enjoy the color and traditions of past Christmas. My tree has ornaments from the expensive to ones that my daughter and now my grandson have made in school. For me each year when I unpack the ornaments it brings back memories of travel, events and most of all time with loved ones. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Kathryn,

I enjoyed all the images of so many very special trees! It was like going on a Christmastime neighborhood Holiday Open House!

Our tree is artificial as we cannot get fresh trees here on Guam. We first tuck multi-colored and white lights deep into its full branches. Next we place the white woolen angel handmade from mountain goat’s wool on the very top. Then all the ornaments go on our tree that has traveled around the Pacific Ocean with us since 2003. We have collected ornaments over our 35 years of marriage from California to Connecticut, Canada to Mexico, from the Philippines to all the Pacific Islands to Hawai’i.

This year we added, among many others, a Mayberry ornament featuring Andy Taylor and Opie with their fishing poles. *smile* Every special place we visit, I obtain, buy or make an ornament to commemorate the memory.

So, what color is on our tree?!

    Yes!

    *hugs*
    Kelley~

    Kelley,
Your tree sounds incredible…I would love to see it! Collecting is what it’s all about. And indeed I did smile when you spoke of Mayberry. Wells and I still watch a few of the Andy re-runs! My trees are all of the traditional colors as seen in the post images…my favorite is the Irish tree. I received your address and will book will soon be on its way! Merry Christmas and hugs to you Kelley.
