Houndstooth Design Motif

I believe that I was first intrigued with the houndstooth design motif in fashion and then later in home furnishings and accessories. Houndstooth is a duotone pattern, characterized by broken checks or abstract four-pointed shapes, most often in black and white, now in almost every color in the rainbow!
