Streamside Picnics

For your next streamside picnic, Golden Rabbit’s new porcelain enamel dinnerware is a must! About a year ago at a tabletop market, I discovered this great new source. So when Balsam Mountain Preserve a magnificent, rustic mountain community where we have done numerous homes as well as the community’s amenities, asked for a charity auction gift,  I knew Golden Rabbit’s “Fishing Fly” was a perfect selection.

This product is far superior to tin plated products, the main benefits of Golden Rabbit porcelain enamel is:

  • Heavy grade steel keeps items from warping or bending easily.
  • Porcelain finish allows day to day use and performance similar to a ceramic plate.
  • The high-temperature firing process means this product can even be used in the oven.

Noland Interiors’ contribution to this auction included six “Fishing Fly” dinner plates and grande mugs (perfect for soup or chili!) six very rustic place mats coordinated with six earth-tone striped napkins and topped off with an antique fishing creel filled with flowers from the Chestnut Cottage garden.

I love this enamelware for picnics and all kinds of casual entertaining events. Our design work at Noland Interiors includes so many outdoor living spaces that are well suited for this great and versatile product. Clients with children and grandchildren love it’s durability.

Another pattern we love for rustic entertaining is “Veneer” which mixes well with “Fishing Fly”! Visit www.goldenrabbit.com to see their wide variety of patterns, colors and textures.

This great charity event, golf tournament and party was held in the Balsam Mountain Preserve “Pool Pavilion”, which is just one of the community owner’s amenities that Noland Interiors had the pleasure of designing the interiors for. Noland Interiors has also worked with many of the community residents on completion of the interiors of their private homes as well.

The new CEO of Balsam Mountain Preserve, Mr. Ken Costanza was “hanging out” at the event and loved our “Streamside Picnic” package.

And how exciting that one of our clients won the golf tournament…..

Mr. Mike Frey- Yeah Mike!

Another of our clients, Mrs. Jane Moon, purchased our donation for her “fly fishing husband” Phillip. Thanks to the Moons’ for supporting this wonderful charity event which raised $20,000.00 for local charities. Congratulations also to Balsam Mountain Preserve’s golf pro, Brian Chapman.

So, for your next picnic pack up some great enamelware, maybe a selection of crusty panini and one of my favorite desserts from a cooking school I attended in Aspen, Colorado- S’mores Creme Brulee.

Stay tuned for my Blue and White posts……. coming soon!
