As promised, I’ve returned from the Big Apple and have wonderful photos of my table top to share with you. The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Spring Gala was an amazing event and I was thrilled to design a table for this worthy evening. As you may know, I’m a dog lover. My table took on a canine theme in my interpretation of “You’re the Top.”
It’s the little details that make your tabletop sing! Bone printed napkins lined with black herringbone are gathered with a leather collar. Flatware with handles reminiscent of sticks complete the look.
As a gift for my table’s guests, I selected a wine which pairs perfectly with my design. A bottle of Merlot Over and Play Dead from Mutt Lynch Winery is pictured at this placesetting. Other bottles included Unleashed Chardonnay, Chateau D’og Cabernet, Fou Fou Le Blanc and Portrait of a Mutt Zinfandel. The labels are ever so cute! Guests were also “treated” to a lovely book of vintage photography.
The seal to my menu card. Bone Appetite!
I rewrote a few lines of Cole Porter’s “You’re the Top” to match the tables theme.
I included a personal note to the table guests. I revealed by table’s inspiration and described the wine gift. And a treat for you…
Have a wonderful day!
