It’s Time to Celebrate…

One of my favorite holidays is just around the corner! Being of Irish heritage, I take St. Patrick’s Day very seriously. This week I plan to share a few ideas for creating your own special occasion, starting with an idea for a table setting that is simply charming.

To keep with the holiday’s green theme, I selected a mossy green charger from Anna Weatherly. This was the perfect backdrop for Wedgewood’s Napoleon Ivy pattern. Doesn’t it remind you of a lush, Irish landscape?

Wedgewood began creating this earthenware pattern in 1815 and I think you’ll agree it is just as lovely today! Although it was discontinued in 2003, you can find many quality pieces today in antique shops and estate sales.

I topped this pairing off by adding a set of sherbet glasses from the 1920s that were made by Val St. Lambert. I happen to find these one day while wandering through Devonia Antiques in West Palm Beach, Florida. Isn’t it wonderful when you happen upon something you love and then find the perfect place to use it?

Later this week, I’ll be sharing one of my favorite recipes for a St. Patrick’s Day gathering as well as some of my favorite green finds. Hope to see you then!

Have a lovely day,
