Hello dear readers!
I don’t know about you, but the soft and sophisticated or crisp and cool, summer’s classic pallete of blue and white never fails to please me. As most of you know, blue and white is a passion for me , and summer offers such a perfect backdrop for this combination. In my design work , I see so many lovely blue and white fabrics and wallcoverings. My design studio is full of blue and white books and those are the first books I look at when new collections arrive at Kathryn Greeley Designs! Recently, we received a new collection from Duralee Fabrics and I quickly spotted a wonderful new blue and white ikat.
1. Kiribati Ikat in Aquamarine / 2. Amalfi Damask in Navy /3. Antibes Chevron in Navy / 4. Matura Linen Print in Aegean
The indoor/outdoor options (#2 and #3) are 100% solution-dyed acrylics that are great for outdoor living spaces that can take lots of wear during lazy summertime activities, but are also perfect for indoor design applications. And don’t forget all of these lovely new fabric introductions for tablecloths, napkins, or to line your favorite vintage picnic basket!
Of course, I have some plenty of blue and white loves when it comes to the tabletop. These are just a few of my casual, beach-and-lake inspired favorites.
And give yourself a collected tabletop by adding some vintage cobalt!
Finally, for your favorite summertime blue and white entertaining events, don’t forget my new Chestnut Cottage invitation, “Shades of Blue.” It can be printed as your invitation or even a menu card. These are available at www.thecollectedtabletop.com.
Here’s to blue and white! Have a lovely weekend!
