One of the joys of the holiday season for me is indulging myself in a couple of great little holiday reads. Each year, I look forward to a few chapters at bedtime, which is so relaxing for me! We all certainly need a little relaxation during the hustle and bustle of Christmas! I thought you might enjoy a nice cup of tea, curled up by the fire with some of my favorites for The Collected Library!
One of my favorite British authors is Anne Perry who lives in Scotland. Each year she does a wonderful little holiday novel and I haven’t missed a one! Fun little mysteries to tuck in with on a snowy holiday evening!
More favorites (below) are Karen Harpers’s The Queen’s Christmas, which is an Elizabeth I mystery, A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas, and An Irish Country Christmas by Alice Taylor, who is from County Cork Ireland.
Of course, no good “collected holiday library ” would be complete without The Autobiography of Santa Clause -It’s Better to Give , edited by Jeff Guinn (below).
I also love to leave another of my favorite holiday novels on the bedside table in my guest room for holiday overnight guests, An Irish Country Christmas by Patrick Taylor(below). This novel is one in his series about a delightful little Irish village that he calls Ballybucklebo. This village is in County Downs very near my grandfather’s home, which makes it all the more interesting to me!
I am currently off to Dallas to my printer to do a press check for the third printing of The Collected Tabletop… And guess what I have packed?! You guessed it– two new little holiday novels! I shall report on those at a later date.
Enjoy and keep adding lovely books to your own Collected Library.
