As we begin preparing for our holiday entertaining and for all of the fabulous events we might be attending, it is never too early to plan a perfect collection of pieces for at home entertaining or a night on the town. For me, it is all about classic style! The classics allow us to buy a little better quality, yet keep these lovely items for many years and still feel great in them. I am all about black, or black and white, but there are so many great pieces with color to get you in the spirit of the festive holidays ahead.
We so enjoy entertaining at home and this long skirt and top look like a perfectly comfortable outfit for in home entertaining, paired with a comfy pair of black flats.
Or perhaps this white tunic and leggings for your at home entertaining.
For a bold pop of pattern and scale, try this large scale houndstooth blouse with a great pair of black slacks, black velvet capri pants, or even a black pencil skirt. Then finish off the look with a sassy pair of black heels.
And for a pop of holiday color, this vintage red dress would be perfect for a quiet night in or a night on the town.
Or this great red dress from my friend Lee Anderson of Lee Anderson Couture in New York.
If you are invited out for a swell little holiday cocktail or dinner party, this sophisticated gray Givenchy Peplum dress, paired with your best pearls and heels could go almost anywhere. Paired with a black or even a red wrap, you would be the talk of the town!
Oh, if only one could secure this fabulous mid-century vintage black dress. I adore this lovely neckline!
One can never, never have too many “little black dresses” for all of ones festive holiday parties!
For your evening of neighbor caroling, I love these leggings and this classic red cape coat!
Finish off your holiday entertaining or going out on New Year’s Eve with this fun black and white cocktail dress from the Lela Rose Spring 2013 collection.
So much entertaining, so many parties, and oh so many fashion choices… Make it your own! Let your own personal style shine and enjoy!!
