On this special day of Christmas Eve, I hope that each of you are home with your loved ones, ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Christmas can be such a stressful and hectic time of the year, but also a peaceful, joyous time. Each of our hearts are filled with our own personal Christmas memories and our homes are a place to celebrate with our own traditions. Chestnut Cottage is a bit sad this year, as we lost our precious Bentley in November. His tree is in our kitchen as usual, a fitting tribute to a gift we were blessed to have for seventeen years.
For many years, I have done a little painting of Bentley for our Christmas card and this year will likely be the last Bentley Christmas card. I wanted to share it with each of you and a little poem that explains the emptiness we feel at Chestnut Cottage. He was such a lovely gift and such a blessing.
At this lovely Christmas, we wish for you Love, Joy and Peace, with gentle memories to fill your heart.
Merry Christmas from Chestnut Cottage,
