On my recent speaking engagement at the Atlanta market, I was most taken and excited about one of my “finds”! Each of you will likely be shocked to hear that it has to do with blue and white…! Have I mentioned that one of Pantone’s color trends for 2013 is “Monaco Blue” (Pantone 19-3964). It seems that blue and white is “back”. Oddly, this color pallet was never out for me personally, nor in my interior design work! So when I found my favorite color pallet, at one of my favorite stoneware vendors, I was thrilled.
I have become most fond of Juliska and their chic offerings, especially the pattern “Country Estate”. This is a relatively new pattern for them and was first introduced in a lovely gray and white combination.
I have loved this pattern that depicts lovely English landscapes, with a charming narrative of English country life. There are different enchanting scenes on each piece, illustrating romantic architecture, bustling activities, and grand vistas. I have used this in some of my book events, paired with their plum pressed glass, which makes an elegant, yet informal tablescape.
When I rounded the corner to see this site, I said to myself…got to have this! ( Which only validates that I have a real china problem!)
Then, there were all the pieces of this delightful new introduction…
And how very clever of Juliska…their lovely pressed glassware in this beautiful blue shade!
It was very difficult to concentrate for the remainder of market, even with all of the wonderful offerings…I just kept seeing the Country Estate in blue and white on the table at Chestnut Cottage or in one of my design projects. Sadly, this won’t ship until summer, but it is very worth the wait! My dear friend, Kristen Anderson Hudson was also taken with this lovely pattern, so place your order soon with Kristen at Quintessentials in Raleigh, NC.
