One of my favorite “simple pleasures” for Spring and Summer is Pimm’s Cup!  It is a thirst quenching drink that I was first introduced to in London.  Pimm’s No. 1 , a gin-based drink was invented around 1840 by James Pimm, who served it at his oyster bar in London.  I am a big fan of the “lowly cucumber” and love the taste of cucumber in Pimm’s Cup! I thought you might want to add this to your “simple pleasures and little luxuries list”!

Nothing beats a Pimm’s on a lovely warm evening.  This British beverage is almost as much a tradition as the cup of tea and the British down this gin-based drink by the gallons during the spring and summer months.
