“Designer’s Notebook”: Think Pink…Peonies, Peonies, Peonies!

Not only do peonies in the garden make my heart sing, so do peonies on the inside!  On a recent trip to the design center in Atlanta, I fell in love with Nina Campbell’s wallpaper pattern “Peony Place”, (NCW 3773-04),  available through Osborne and Little.

The delicate pinks and greens would be perfect for a glamorous, feminine bedroom.  Another lovely “peony pattern” is from Designer’s Guild, called Charlottenberg (Charlottenbery-Peony  F1800/03). These patterns are a perfect way to freshen up your interiors…Spring all year long!

A few years ago, while assisting a delightful client who adores peonies, I was able to locate a wonderful “peony pattern” fabric that she loved.  We did this lovely pattern in a guest bedroom in her adorable mountain cottage. Sadly, Lee Jofa discontinued this lovely pattern…what were they thinking?!?

This wonderful pink and green cottage is actually featured in my book, The Collected Tabletop, in the chapter entitled A Study In Pink!  We timed the photography of this event to be when peonies at Chestnut Cottage were in full bloom.  Oh what a statement peonies can make on a tabletop!

And our  Study in Pink invitation from the Chestnut Cottage Collection would make a perfect invite for your Spring luncheon, shower, or almost any event!
