A classic white kitchen is certainly my personal favorite for a kitchen design! I have enjoyed my white kitchen for many years and never seem to want any other style of kitchen. Wood floors always add a warmth to a classic white kitchen and I love adding all of my blue and white collections for color and pattern. Here is a peek inside the kitchen at Chestnut Cottage.
I love my old stainless sink with its built in drainboard!
I use my white farm-sink as a “secondary” sink for arranging flowers.
Antiques can also soften a white kitchen and add great patina!
There are so many lovely classic white kitchens that I thought you might enjoy these!
Note the lovely dark floors and the added design interest of bringing out the sink base.
The soft green tongue and groove ceiling and white washed beams add softness and a cottage feel, as does the blue ceiling and wide floor boards.
The lovely European styling and this spectacular Cornue range give great design detail to this classic kitchen.
Isn’t this a great island with the beautiful combination of woods with the look of a fine piece of furniture! The island picks up the warm tone of the wood floors and the black range and hood and the ceiling treatment add great drama to this lovely kitchen.
The design on these glass fronts offer a nice contrast to all wood doors and I often paint the backs of glass cabinets a color that adds contrast to the collections they hold!
The open shelves at the end of this spacious island provides a perfect place for cookbook storage or display for decorative pieces.
A nice ceiling treatment adds design interest to this kitchen.
I love the genius behind these great glass backed cabinets for displaying one’s treasured collections!
I often use crisp white subway tiles in a classic white kitchen. Running the tiles all the way up the wall behind open shelves gives another great way to showcase decorative items in your kitchen.
Nothing beats white subway tile and white marble in a classic white kitchen!
Islands like these always bring so much warmth and coziness to a white kitchen.
As you can see, I could go on for days on the subject of Classic White Kitchens! One of the slight “deficiencies” of my white kitchen is the pot and pan storage! I must leave you with this great image of a very tidy way to store your pots and pans!
What’s in your kitchen?!?
