A Lovely Blanket of White at Chestnut Cottage!

All winter, I have been wishing for a big snow at Chestnut Cottage.  One that I would actually be at home to enjoy!  Week before last, I was in Atlanta for the big snow mess, and longed to be at Chestnut Cottage, tucked in with snow.  Well, I got my wish this past week on Wednesday and Thursday, when Chestnut Cottage was draped in a lovely blanket of white.  And I had two glorious days at home to enjoy the quiet, serenity of the beautiful snow.  And what a treat that was!  Lots of cooking and lots of reading.  I just love the peaceful silence of a big snowfall and went  outside on Wednesday evening, just to experience this lovely silence.  Then on Thursday morning, I ventured outside to take these photos and get some of the heavy snow off certain plants in the garden.  While outside, I thought of one of my favorite poems by W.H. Davies and I want to share the photos from Chestnut Cottage with you, along with the Davies poem.  I was truly blessed by this lovely snow and by this quiet time at home to stand and stare…
