I recently discovered this wonderful pattern at a tabletop market.  I can’t believe the range of colors in this pattern…Blue, Cantaloupe, Lavender, Lime, Pink, Taupe and Turquoise!

Reputed to have originally been used by English romantic novelist, Jane Austen, “Mikado” is English fine one china from Royal Crown Derby.  This traditional pattern is re-imagined for the 21st century.  The pattern features different scenes from the Opera Mikado.  The beauty of this pattern is heightened by the use of contemporary colorways and combinations.  This patterns is much like Ms. Austen’s novels…playful, eclectic, romantic and most entertaining! This lovely pattern is perfect as an individual color collection or mixed and matched to create a riot of color.

This pattern is the epitome of casual chic! What a beautiful and creative way to display this pattern al fresco!
