“Specialties of the House”: Chestnut Cottage Apple Cake!

Chestnut Cottage Apple Cake!

Now that fall is officially here, my friends and family expect to see my homemade apple cake on the counter at Chestnut Cottage! So I had to make a run to our local apple orchard, Barber’s Orchard, and pick up some apples.

I have made this apple cake for years and have no idea where I got the recipe. But it is yummy and what a great time of the year to use some of one’s  locally grown apples.

So I will share this recipe with you and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
