Autumn Table Matters

Oh how I love the change of seasons.  And Autumn is certainly a favorite!  I recently discovered a lovely new pattern from Juliska… “ Forest Walk “.  This new pattern is perfect for  autumn entertaining . The foliage, the berries and the  feathers give a perfect theme for designing  an autumn tablescape.

I have a set of these twig placemats and they are always a good choice for a woodsy fall table.  I often  also  use moss on the table , in combination with the twig placemats.

A beautiful wooden table makes a lovely background for woven mats , especially combined with pewter.

Another of my favorite patterns for autumn is Gien’s “Rambouillet” pattern!  This lovely pattern showcases a number of woodland animals, as well as dogs.

We can’t forget the doggies…!

I particularly like these foliage presentation plates.

This pattern is most beautiful when combined with a variety of textures…pewter, woven mats, autumn  colored linens.

A tortoiseshell flatware pattern would certainly add to your autumn tablescape with either of these patterns.

And you could finish it off with William Yeoward’s Fanny Amber stemware!

Or better still, perhaps some vintage amber stemware!

I’m trilled that Fall is here and am looking forward to planting pansies and more daffodil bulbs this weekend. The mushrooms in your centerpiece add a nice touch of whimsy to your table. Have fun in DC! There’s so much to do in our nation’s capital. I look forward to reading about you and Leah’s adventure.
