Oh how I love my garden under a blanket of snow! There is something so architectural about a winter garden, especially made into a winter wonderland by 12 or so inches of snow!
The new boxwoods are blanketed and had to be dusted off with the broom. I didn’t want any of their little limbs broken!
It seems that the snow really brings out the details of lines and walls!
Looks like white icing on the stone steps…
My favorite garden bench stands elegantly with a cushion of lovely white powder!
Little boxwood “lollipops” stand like soldiers in a row…
And a garden plaque is crowned by the snow…
I adore this little Irish style cottage, given to me by a friend in Atlanta, as its door and window peak out from a mound of snow on its roof!
It sits just beside my circular teak bench in the upper garden. You can just see it on the right corner of the bench!
The snow seems to also bring out the details of this inset antique rosette in this column!
Pyramidal boxwoods look like big white gumdrops!
I suppose my favorite sight in this winter wonderland is my quatrefoil fountain, surrounded by little boxwoods so perfectly outlined with the snow!
Hope your garden was blanketed with this beautiful snow. I can’t think of anything more peaceful!
A boy and his dog…in the snow!
